At this point, we all know that Aimé Leon Dore and New Balance just never miss, and it looks like the power duo have another big drop up its sleeve with the brand new Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance 990v4 “Olive.” Made in the US of A, this is going to be another must-cop when it launches later this year.
Working on top of a ballistic mesh base, this 990v4 is overlaid by lush “Olive” pigskin suede throughout, and is accented with light grey leather across the toebox and heel. New Balance’s legendary “N” logo is stitched across the lateral and medial sidewalls, and while ALD could’ve gone with a “normal” pair of white laces, they opted for some creamy ones instead to keep in-line with the vintage vibe.
Underfoot, this trainer rests on top of an ENCAP midsole that offers superior cushioning and support. And, as mentioned before, this is part of the Boston sportswear company’s esteemed “Made in USA” line, so you’re guaranteed a shoe that’ll stand the test of time. The 990v4 is then rounded off with co-branded detailing that’s stamped on the insoles, finalising the design.
Set to arrive sometime this autumn, the Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance 990v4 “Olive” is poised to be a standout addition to any collection. Keep an eye out for this pair, and make sure to keep it locked at Captain Creps for your best chance to secure your size!
