The Star Wars x Nanzuka x adidas Superstar XLG is From a Galaxy Far, Far Away

Star Wars and adidas have teamed up many, many times in the past, but, for the first time ever, it’s bringing Tokyo’s renowned art gallery Nanzuka into the fold with the Star Wars x Nanzuka x adidas Superstar XLG. If you’re a fan of the legendary sci-fi franchise or just grail-worthy sneakers in general, this is one that you definitely do not want to miss out on.

Working on top of the Superstar XLG silhouette, which is essentially an extra large version of the legendary Superstar, Nanzuka’s take on this Star Wars collab is covered with pop art-inspired graphics throughout, featuring Star Wars droids R2-D2 and C-3PO, as envisioned by contemporary artist Hiroki Tsukuda. Not only are these visuals decorative, they’re also intricately woven into the fabric of the design, making it the ultimate tribute to both these characters and Tsukuda’s signature style.

The sneaker’s upper is crafted in premium white leather, and is accented with a cream-coloured shelltoe for that classic look and feel. Other notable details include a sleek black leather heel tab around the back and see-through Three Stripes. The design is then rounded off with a robust rubber midsole, which has been slightly elevated for additional comfort and cushioning.
