A Fresh Wave of Blue Hits the Nike Air Max 97 “Court Blue”

With the warmer months coming up just around the corner, Nike is gearing up for a range of brand new Air Max 97 colourways, with the Nike Air Max 97 “Court Blue” being one of the first ones to be revealed. Giving the Christian Tresser-designed silhouette a fresh lick of paint, these will no doubt be one of the most popular pairs of the season.

Working on top of a “Court Blue” mesh base, this AM97 is overlaid by wavy leather panels both in “Glacier Blue” and “Pure Platinum” hues. Thick rope laces tie everything together, and this rugged aesthetic is exemplified by a pair of canvas pull tabs that feature on the tongue and heel.

A Nike Swoosh is embroidered across the lateral and medial sidewalls, and you just can’t talk about this legendary silhouette without giving the full length Air midsole a special shoutout. The “Court Blue” is then finished off with 3M reflective details, so you can flex even in low light conditions.

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: the Nike Air Max 97 is one of the greatest sneakers of all-time. We’re such a big fan, in fact, that we recently wrote an article about five facts that you probably didn’t know about. The Nike Air Max 97 “Court Blue” is set to release sometime this spring, so stay tuned at Captain Creps for your best chance to cop.
