The lifestyle shoe inspired by vintage Three Stripes running trainers takes on a whole new form; this time taking inspiration from utility hiking boots! This adidas Pharrell Williams Hu NMD S1 Ryat “Core White Clear Pink” is unlike any adidas NMD shoe we’ve seen before! Truly rocking something different these.

With that said, let’s check out the official photos of this trail-inspired trainer before its official release this April 2022.

The adidas NMD_S1 officially made its debut in 2021. It’s the latest addition to the lifestyle NMD family; signalling a new era for the 2015 silhouette. Just like the NMD_R1, the S1 Ryat version is headlined by Pharrell’s Humanrace label; with new themes inspired by various cultures.

Just a few months since its first launch, adidas introduced the boot version of the NMD_S1 – updating the entire upper while retaining the thick TPU-covered sole unit.

A mesh upper base comes covered with suede overlays and a thick TPU mudguard for added durability. Aside from the upper, the TPU mudguard is one of the most notable changes on the shoe. The regular NMD_S1 boasted a soft Primeknit upper for casual strolls, but this trail-inspired sneaker looks to take the “terrain-ready” build seriously.

Accompanying the regular lacing setup are two separate lace cages on the front and rear panels. Various lace loops on these provide a customisable fit that adds to the overall lockdown of the trainer.

No Three Stripes logos appear on the upper, but Humanrace branding adorns the tongue.

The TPU midsole features the signature plastic inserts, but this time, it’s also encased with the TPU for stability. A full-length Boost foam also hides inside the midsole – a huge change compared to the exposed Boost foam that we all loved.

To mimic rugged traction patterns, the adidas NMD S1 Ryat boasts thick Trefoil logos on the outsole; providing consistent grip and long-term durability.

Definitely a sneaker not meant for everyone, keep an eye out for its release this April 2022.
