Air Max 270 React

A large Air Max unit is already great, but what’s greater is a shoe with a React + heel Air Max combo. That’s what made the Nike Air Max 270 React popular when Nike first unveiled the shoe in 2019. This upgrade does not take anything away from the modern icon that is the Air Max 270. But it’s nice when Nike gives us more choices!

The plush comfort and unique designs dominated the latter half of Nike’s 2010s decade. With all brands offering their own type of foam-based cushioning systems, Nike consistently flaunts Air Max and Zoom Air.

However, in 2017, Nike pushed out the old Lunarlon with React foam. It started off as a disappointing technology when the foam debuted on a basketball shoe. Nike went back to the drawing boards and eventually presented one of the softest foams to date.

The Nike Air Max 270 React shies away from the Air Max 270 upper and features a mix of textile and suede fabrics. Nike stylised the Swoosh between wavy fuse overlays for that futuristic aesthetic.

React foam stars along with the 270-degree Air Max unit in the heel. This cushioning system provides bouncy responsiveness from heel to toe, helping your feet feel cosy throughout the day.

Nike also introduced the NRG version, updated with a different upper. This pair was subject to a Travis Scott collab back in 2020. It was arguably one of the most surprising sneakers to ever get the Cactus Jack treatment among Nikes and Jordans.

What makes the shoe popular is that there are many colourways made available for men and women. Even kids got exclusive colourways of their own!
