First Look at the Nike Air Max 1 “Beef and Broccoli”

The legendary “Beef and Broccoli” palette has been a mainstay in the sneaker community since the early ’90s. Getting its delicious name from a common dish that’s sold in Chinese take-outs across New York City, the colour combination has made its way to countless silhouettes over the past three decades. And now, for the first time ever, it’s taking on the Air Max 1 with the Nike Air Max 1 “Beef and Broccoli.”

Working on top of a dark green mesh base, rich, hairy suede overlays wrap around the uppers in an earthy brown hue.

Complementary panels embrace the vamp and back, paying homage to the tasty delicacy that it’s named after. Underfoot, the midsole is infused with Air technology for unrivalled comfort and cushioning, and it has also been totally blacked out for a look that is sure to turn heads.

This rugged yet refined look is further emphasised by trail-inspired laces, adding to the sneaker’s outdoor-ready vibe. It’s then finished off with “Nike” branding that’s stitched on the tongue tag and heel badge, finalising the truly iconic design.

The Nike Air Max 1 “Beef and Broccoli” is a homage to the great outdoors, combining rugged aesthetics with the comfort and technology that sneakerheads have come to expect from the Air Max line.
