First Look at the Air Jordan 6 Retro “Georgetown” CT8529-012

The Georgetown Hoyas may have a different Air Jordan 6 PE, but that doesn’t stop Jordan Brand from using the popular colourway to general release colourways such as this one. The Air Jordan 6 Retro “Georgetown” flaunts the classic “Grey Midnight Navy” combo as a tribute to the Jordan-sponsored school.

After mockups by @zsneakerheads showed us what to expect from the shoe, we finally get the first actual photos. Let’s take a detailed look while we wait for its official release expected in September 2022.

Long before actual images arrived, accurate mockups previewed a greyscale suede upper. Grey dominates the first Michael Jordan championship trainer; Georgetown colourways became a mainstay in the Jordan Brand roster as the powerhouse school is sponsored by the brand.

Before Air Jordan was even a thing, Michael Jordan already had a history with the Hoyas as he shot the game-winner against them in the 1982 NCAA National Championship. Life went full circle as the Hoyas now rock Jordan Brand equipment.

Midnight Navy hues adorn the Jumpman logos on the tongue, lace lock, some portions of the midsole, and the heel spoiler, 3M reflective materials appear on the perforations on the midfoot and rear.

The Grey rubber outsole is headlined by icy translucent sections on the heel and forefoot for a fresh finish.

This is the second Air Jordan 6 rocking an NCAA team this year; following the Air Jordan 6 “UNC” last February. One thing to take note of is that this shoe doesn’t have that brand tag found on the heel of the UNC 6s. Either way, both pairs are looking fire!

Rumours lean toward a September 2022 release; but because of recent delays, stay tuned once official release information drops!
