First Look: Civilist x Nike Air Force 1 Low

Berlin-based hybrid skate shop and streetwear boutique Civilist teams up with the Swoosh brand once more! For a change, Civilist Berlin picks the Nike Air Force 1 as the latest silhouette in the collab; moving on from skate-centric sneakers such as the Nike SB Dunk seen on previous iterations. This Civilist x Nike Air Force 1 Low arrives just in time for the AF1’s 40th anniversary in 2022!

The design follows the same thermochromic approach of the Civilist x Nike SB Dunk Low Pro from 2020. While we don’t have a definite release date for the upcoming AF1, let’s take a glimpse at these first look photos and compare them to the Civilist Dunks.

Civilist x Nike SB Dunk Low Pro

Released in 2020, the shoe features a stealthy all-black overlay that reveals bright varying colours when exposed to heat. The heat-reactive aesthetic gave the trainer a completely new look with its thermal graphics on the upper.

The heat-reactive feature makes its way to the upcoming Nike Air Force 1 Low x Civilist Berlin. Unlike the SB Dunks, this shoe features a rather greyish brown coating with white stitching all over the upper.

Once exposed to heat, this muted upper turns into a colourful mix of Green, Red, Yellow, and Blue pigments; mimicking thermal maps. Minimal Civilist branding on the rear portions and smileys on the tongue are some of the notable details.

Transparent lace dubraes feature colourful speckles – acting as a camouflage to the colour-changing upper.

The sole boasts a pink “AIR” label and a gum rubber outsole.

We currently have no release date for these kicks, but we’ll let you know once official information drops! In the meantime, feast your eyes on these first-look photos while we wait.
