Following the release of the “Limestone” last month, it looks like South Korean icon Yoon Ahn has even more hype up her sleeves as we take a closer look at the AMBUSH x Nike Air More Uptempo Low “Lilac.” The second colourway to hit her low-top silhouette, we’ve never seen an Air More Uptempo quite like this before.
Affectionately nicknamed the Joker by sneakerheads, this trainer boasts a lavender suede construction that’s soft and supple to the touch. Bold green “AIR” branding features across the sidewalls, and this is complemented by the thick laces and oversized heel tab. Nike Swooshes also make an appearance to the front and back, dipped in a fiery red hue.
Of course, you just can’t talk about this shoe without mentioning the chunky Air midsole underfoot. Designed by Wilson Smith III back in 1996, it looks exactly the same even three decades later. Here it’s coloured in deep purple, and equipped with a series of bubbles that run either side of the unit. All of this then comes packed in a co-branded shoebox that’s been made for fans of the Tokyo-based streetwear label.
Not much else is known about the AMBUSH x Nike Air More Uptempo Low “Lilac” at this moment in time. That said, it’s expected to drop within the next few weeks, and will be followed by an all-black pair that completes the trilogy.
