Get Up Close With the Nike Air Force 1 “Metal Work”

Nike takes the worn-in look to new extremes with the Air Force 1 “Metal Work” edition. The upper arrives in faded anthracite suede, treated with burnished textures and scuffed edges that mimic years of use. It doesn’t look new—and that’s exactly the point. The pre-aged aesthetic leans into something more industrial, more raw.

A heavy-duty Swoosh gets the full rivet treatment. Instead of being stitched down, it’s fastened with visible copper hardware, echoing the industrial theme across the midfoot. The same copper detailing appears on the leather tongue patch, while thick rope laces add another layer of bulk up top.

The midsole picks up the same distressed finish, with oxidation patterns that look like they’ve been left to the elements. Even the outsole shows off weathered textures. Nothing here is polished. It’s all edge.

This isn’t your standard triple white. It’s closer to post-apocalyptic street armour—rugged, tough, unapologetic. Whether you’re into hardcore design or just want something that looks like it’s seen a few battles, the “Metal Work” AF1 doesn’t flinch. Dropping before Summer ends, let us know if you’ll be adding these to your rotation, and be sure to keep it locked for your best chance to secure your size!
