The LEGO x Nike Air Force 1 Low “Astronaut” Is Cleared for Launch
LEGO and Nike are putting a spacesuit on one of Nike’s most popular models. Expected to release in Holiday 2026, the LEGO x Nike Air Force 1 Low “Astronaut” prepares for takeoff by giving the classic sneaker a space-inspired design made exclusively for younger sneakerheads.
The mostly white upper provides the base of the astronaut theme. Exposed black zigzag stitching runs across the eyestay and side panels, giving the shoe a constructed appearance that fits LEGO’s visual style. Grey toggle laces replace the usual lacing system, while diagonally striped pull tabs add another practical-looking detail at the tongue and heel.
Its main graphic appears on the outer side of the shoe. A small rocket travels toward the heel with a red trail that forms the Nike Swoosh. A yellow celestial graphic sits underneath, bringing a strong hit of colour to the otherwise neutral upper. Red tongue accents and an icy aqua section around the outsole complete the brighter parts of the design.
LEGO and Nike have also placed a hidden character behind the tongue. The graphic appears to show a robotic or penguin-like space companion, adding a playful detail that is not immediately visible when the sneaker is being worn.
The sneaker connects closely with the 1,093-piece LEGO Nike Air Force 1 building set. That model displays the Air Force 1 launching above a moon-inspired base and includes a Nike-dressed LEGO astronaut. Bringing similar artwork and colours to the actual shoe helps both releases feel like parts of the same story rather than separate products carrying the same logos.
Instead of shrinking down an adult colourway, LEGO and Nike have given younger fans their own Air Force 1 concept one with enough details to make exploring the shoe part of the experience. Current release information lists a grade-school and a preschool edition that are expected to arrive through Nike and select retailers during Holiday 2026, although a specific release date has not been announced.
