Master Splinter Inspires the Next TMNT x adidas Superstar

Following the release of the “Shelltoe” at the end of last month, we’re now getting our first look at the upcoming TMNT x adidas Superstar “Master Splinter.” Inspired by the anthropomorphic rat that taught the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to fight, it’s the ultimate way to honour one of the franchise’s most iconic characters.

One of the first things that you’ll notice about these adidas sneakers is the brown short-haired suede construction that pays homage to the sensei’s fur. This premium material extends from the back all the way to the front, where you’ll also find the reworked “Shelltoe” design. Not only does this harken back to the silhouette’s original nickname, it’s also a fun tribute to the turtles themselves.

Magenta-hued Three Stripes feature across the lateral and medial sidewalls of the Superstar to capture the essence of Splinter’s robe, and gold throwing stars hit the dubraes as a tribute to the cartoon’s ninjutsu vibes. All of this then comes packed in a special edition shoebox that fans of TMNT will definitely be able to appreciate.
