The Nike Air Flight Huarache OG Makes A Comeback In 2023

Basketball fans and old-school sneakerheads will be delighted to hear the Fab Five-approved basketball sneaker will finally return for the first time since 2014! Made popular by the Michigan Wolverines Fab Five, the Nike Air Flight Huarache OG will soar once more. Basking in full glory with the debut White/Varsity Purple/Blue Menta launch colourway, the Air Flight Huarache comes with bags of nostalgia for many.

With the release date set in April 2023, we can expect other styles to follow suit. There are still no official photos of the 2023 version so far. But let’s check out the details of the 2014 pair below. This is big news for Michigan Fab Five fans and 90s sneakerheads!

The Nike Air Flight Huarache is the basketball version of the Air Huarache. If you’ve been wearing Huaraches, you know exactly how comfortable they are. The soft foam midsole with encapsulated Air still remains, but the Air Flight Huarache features more support.

This OG colourway showcases a White leather base with the Blue and Purple neoprene padding from the midfoot. The Black leather collar and rubber heel counter give a nice contrast to the shoe. These colours remain iconic and are always labelled as the “Huarache” whenever Nike puts them out on a different shoe.

The raised neoprene and heel padding provides more support for basketball purposes. All that without restricting mobility when manoeuvring on the court. Nike Air labels appear on the Purple heel counter and the leather heel cup

The outsole features reliable herringbone traction with horizontal blades for consistent grip. Flex grooves on the forefoot enable the natural bending motion of the foot.

Stay tuned for more updates once Nike releases the official photos of the upcoming 2023 pair.
