Nike Honours its Heritage With the Dunk Low LX “1972”

After checking out the Air Force 1 and Air Max 1 versions earlier this season, we’re now getting our first look at the Nike Dunk Low LX “1972.” Paying homage to the American sportswear company’s rich history and heritage, this looks like a sneaker that has been swiped straight out of the archives.

Working on top of a cracked leather base which adds an old school effect, this Dunk Low is overlaid by panels and panels of “Light British Tan” throughout. A Nike Swoosh hits the lateral and medial sidewalls, while hiking boot-inspired rope laces tie everything together.

Underfoot, the midsole is housed within a gum rubber unit for the perfect balance of comfort and grip. A special jewel emblem hits the tongue, and this trainer comes packed with an exclusive “1972”-branded hangtag, which looks like something that you’d find on a sneaker from back in the day.

Expected to drop sometime this summer, let us know if you’ll be adding the Nike Dunk Low LX “1972” to your rotation, and be sure to keep it locked at Captain Creps for your best chance to secure your size!
