Nike is back with another tribute to the Day of the Dead with a new Nike Dia de Los Muertos Collection. Released just in time for the Hispanic Heritage Month celebrations, the Somos Familia pack highlights the importance of family. The WMNS Nike Air Max 1 “Somos Familia” joins the line-up of similar bright and detailed sneakers in the pack. Other pairs in the Somos Familia collection include the J1 High Zoom Comfort, AF1 Low, and Nike Dunk High.

As bright and as vibrant as the theme, the pair stands out in orange. The suede mudguard features repeated floral patterns as a nod to the Day of the Dead. Other forefoot panels feature different materials. The base layer uses Beige canvas, while the midfoot panel incorporates suede in Orange. The yellow suede Swoosh on the lateral area showcases thick outer stitching.

Laces come in Cream White while the lining and heel pull tab utilise vibrant Orange.

Green accents on the top plastic lace loop and embroidered logo on the heel add more flair to the shoe.

The PU midsole features an Orange Air Max unit in the heel. Underneath, the Gum rubber outsole blends with the bright colours on the upper.

What makes this outsole different is that it glows in the dark! Yes, the Gum rubber outsole on this shoe glows in the dark.
