Official Photos: Nike Air Max 1 “Safari Cobblestone” DV3027-001

A Safari edition of the Air Max 1 is almost always guaranteed to light up the sneaker world when it drops. While March may be the annual Air Max Day celebration, the very first Air Max trainer looks to extend the celebration throughout the year. The upcoming Nike Air Max 1 “Safari Cobblestone” reimagines the Air Max 1 Safari Atmos from 2002 with new colours! This one is destined to be a talking point in the community once images are released.

Whilst March was big for new Air Max colourways, the rest of the year is set to be even bigger for Air Max 1. We cant wait for more fire Air Max 1 iterations throughout the rest of the year, we’re hoping for more surprises! Let’s check out the official photos:

The biggest takeaway connecting this shoe from the Safari Atmos is the grey leopard print mudguard and collar. It appears exactly the same way as the iconic Atmos version. Another fine detail reminiscent of the icon is the embroidered mini Swoosh on the forefoot.

Beige suede makes up the base, while the leather midfoot panel comes covered with a blue canvas Swoosh. On the rear, the suede heel panel poses a Light Olive finish.

The Yellow laces and Blue details on the Swoosh and tongue add more vibrance to the rather neutral-toned sneaker. More brand labels adorn the heel panel.

The Sail White foam midsole and outsole stay true to the “Safari” theme. A visible Air Max unit in the heel remains true to form and provides the comfortable cushioning that we all love.

Coming in quite a surprise, the Nike Air Max 1 “Safari Cobblestone” currently has no official release date. But stay locked and we’ll keep you posted so you don’t miss out! Expect launch information soon as Air Max 1 silhouettes continue to roll out during the tech’s 35th anniversary in 2022.
