Who says you can’t wear Nike Air Max 95s with suits? Well, One Block Down begs to differ. The most interesting part of One Block Down’s Nike Air Max 95 Lux is how they elevated the shoe without changing the majority of its design. With this upcoming edition, the premium textured leather takes the AM95 up a notch. Minor updates aside, this version keeps the familiar pattern across the upper while making the shoe look more uniformly leather from toe to heel.

Black leather also covers the Air Max 95’s layered side panels, lace loops, tongue and heel. With little colour separating those parts, their curved edges and changes in texture do the visual work. The 95’s distinctive shape remains easy to recognise, but the leather gives its running shoe design a more restrained appearance. A One Block Down mark on the heel identifies the collaboration without becoming its main feature

There is a reason this looks familiar to longtime Air Max fans. Nike introduced the Air Max 95 in 1995 with a layered design inspired partly by human anatomy. In 2001, it gave the model an all-leather treatment for its Lux Pack. Supreme revisited that idea in 2019, releasing leather versions in black, red and blue. One Block Down’s pair follows that lineage closely, but the netted panel differs from the perforated leather on the 2001 shoe.

The Italian connection also needs some care. One Block Down is an Italian retailer, and reports say the original 2001 Lux was made in Italy. Italian manufacture has not been confirmed for this new pair, so the collaboration alone is no reason to assume it shares the original’s production details.

The blacked-out colourway with style code IM0704-001, is expected during the 2026 holiday season. Four colourways have been reported, but the wider collection is yet to be fully revealed.
