After a series of sporadic releases, we finally have more NMD S1 colourways dropping in 2022. We’re unsure if this is a way of adidas pushing the spotlight to the shoe after the Yeezy breakup, but we’re just happy to see the NMD get love. The adidas NMD S1 “Cloud White Light Purple” arrives in a clean colour combination made even better with subtle accents.

It’s no surprise that adidas decided to shake things up with the NMD line. After becoming one of the popular lifestyle shoes from adidas in 2015, the popularity just went downhill these past few years. Luckily for fans, the brand retained the beloved features that made the shoe a streetwear staple.

Adidas got things back on track when they unveiled Boost foam cushioning. In 2015, the brand launched the Yeezy 350, Ultraboost, and the NMD; all of which feature full-length Boost midsoles. The adidas NMD may be the least popular among the 3, but it sure had a lot of attention replacing the ZX Flux silhouette.

In 2021, adidas introduced the adidas NMD S1, a new NMD model with a completely different look. Primeknit still remains but with a more reinforced build, so as the full-length Boost midsole. Speaking of Boost, the TPU sole encases the entire foam, unlike the previous NMD model where Boost is completely exposed.

Large adidas Trefoil logos comprise the outsole to resemble lugs found on outdoor shoes.

This adidas NMD S1 “Cloud White Light Purple” features a White Primeknit upper with hints of Purple on the lateral inserts. The outsole comes in Cream White for a fresh new finish.
