Another colourways emerges in the Nike Air Force 1 Low ’07 “Hoops” Pack. This time, a mix of stealthy and vibrant hues make up for an old-school makeover. This Nike Air Force 1 Low ’07 “Hoops Black / University Gold” joins the “Canyon Purple” and “University Gold” renditions. The AF1 “Hoops” is another exciting collection involving the AF1’s 80s origin as a staple basketball shoe in both amateur and professional leagues.

2022 marks a lot of milestones for Nike. Aside from being the 35th anniversary of Air Max technology, it’s also the 40th year of the iconic Nike Air Force 1. The Nike Air Force 1 Hoops Pack celebrates the basketball heritage of this revolutionary sneaker. To think that the Nike Air Force 1 remained relevant for most of its 40 years is a spectacular feat. All we know about is that Nike’s preparing something big for 2022, that’s for sure.

The Nike Air Force 1 released in 1982 as a top-of-the-line basketball shoe. Being the first Nike hoops trainer with an Air unit, comfort and impact protection became the focal point among ballers. Later on, streetwear and hip-hop cultures adopted the classic as an every day footwear.

The Nike Air Force 1 first came with three styles: High, Mid, and Low, but eventually, more versions and revamps arrived in the following years to keep up with modernity.

This Nike Air Force 1 Low ’07 “Hoops Black / University Gold” features an all-black leather upper; while University Gold shines on the Swoosh and brand labels such as the Nike Air on the tongue and AIR on the heel. A “Hoops” patch on the rear reminds us of the AF1’s basketball history.

Another unique detail is the perforated mesh tongue for improved breathability.

Olive Green adorns the lining, heel panel, and rubber outsole.

Scheduled for a March 2022 launch, keep an eye out for its release on the Nike website.
