It felt like forever as every day approaches, but now it’s finally here! Arguably the most awaited sneaker release of the entire 2022 finally arrives this November. The Air Jordan 1 High Retro Chicago “Lost and Found” marks the first time a J1 Chicago release since 2015. This may not be the usual Chicago 1s we’ve seen, but the design inspiration poses a nostalgic story.

Cracked leather panels, yellowing soles, and vintage unmatched shoe boxes; this release is extremely special. The Lost and Found moniker pays homage to Air Jordan 1s in 1985 sitting in closets, left untouched and naturally aged. This pre-distressed kick achieved that aesthetic almost flawlessly!

We’ve reached the penultimate month of 2022, and that means Jordan Brand’s bringing out all the heat pairs! One of the most awaited pairs is none other than the Air Jordan 1 High Retro Lost and Found, a Chicago 1 with a unique twist. But before all that, let’s discuss the short history of the Nike Air Jordan 1.

Originally launched in 1985, the Air Jordan 1 was Nike’s first signature basketball shoe. After signing Michael Jordan in 1984, footwear designer Peter Moore and his team went to work to design the young MJ’s signature sneaker. The shoe went on to become an iconic sneaker thanks to Michael Jordan’s stellar career and popularity.

This Air Jordan 1 High Retro Chicago “Lost and Found” features the Chicago colour blocking but with updates. The White and Black panels feature cracked leather material, while the nylon tongue appears in a rather yellowing look. Even the Red rubber outsole boasts an aged aesthetic.

A special packaging box features the orange Nike lid with the Black and Red J1 box. A Sandy Bros receipt from 1985 completes the throwback inspiration.
