This special edition Air Jordan 1 Mid is truly “fantastique”. Taking inspiration from one of the fashion capitals of the world, the Air Jordan 1 Mid “Paris” flaunts luxury. Premium leather up front, a mix of mesh on the ankles, and a fuzzy suede Swoosh; this French capital-inspired J1 passes all the fashion standards – with love.

City-inspired trainers are no stranger to the sneaker community. We had the limited Air Jordan 1 High Zoom CMFT “London” come out just a few months back. Jordan Brand taps another popular European city in this rendition of the Air Jordan 1 Mid; and this time they chose the City of Love and French Capital, Paris.

The Air Jordan 1 is undoubtedly one of the greatest sneakers of all time. And rightfully so as it’s the first signature shoe of who would become the greatest basketball player to ever live; none other than Michael Jordan.

Designer Peter Moore wanted something different when he designed the Air Jordan 1. Taking some of the design cues from MJ’s first on-court model the Nike Air Ship, the J1 boasted “Air Jordan” labels and set it apart from the rest.

Usually featuring leather, the J1 also has a thick rubber cupsole – where an encapsulated heel Air unit provides minimal cushioning.

This Air Jordan 1 Mid “Paris” continues to prove why the Mid version is no longer subject to memes. Recent J1 Mid releases have been capturing people’s attention because of the fire colourways – this “Paris” rendition is no different.

White crisp leather makes up the front to heel panels, while mesh covers the ankle collar. Shadow Grey adorns the wing collar where a red Jumpman logo accompanies the Navy “Blue suede Swoosh” to represent the colours of the French flag.

On the tongue, a Jumpman appears above the “Paris” label.

A grey rubber outsole finishes off the sweet design.

Definitely a solid pickup for collectors, stay tuned for an official release in February 2022.
