Jordan Brand continues the tradition of switching one iconic Air Jordan Retro colourway to another Retro silhouette. Last 2021, the Air Jordan 6 “Bordeaux” borrowed the popular colour scheme from the Air Jordan 7. Now, the J7 takes an OG Air Jordan 6 rendition. This Air Jordan 7 Retro “Infrared” takes the iconic Air Jordan 6 colourway and incorporates a similar makeover. The all-white leather upper build is perfect for the summer!
Iconic colourways take flight from one iconic model to another as Jordan Brand presents familiar colour schemes to different Air Jordans. The J6 and J7 may look similar, but the neoprene collar and Jumpman logo on the 7 make all the difference.
The Air Jordan 7 came out in 1992 and introduced many new features that indicated a new era for the Air Jordan franchise. No more visible Air, but Nike replaced the cushioning system with a full-length Air unit! The shoe also features a neoprene interior called Huarache, which debuted on the Nike Air Huarache a year prior to this model.
The Air Jordan 7 is Michael Jordan’s second championship shoe. It’s also highly regarded as one of the best Air Jordan Retro silhouettes to play in. The modern basketball shoe Air Jordan 37 also based its design on the J7, mimicking the outsole and upper silhouette.
This Air Jordan 7 Retro “Infrared” features a white leather construction with black hues on the tongue and infrared pigments on the Jumpman and raised sidewalls on the midsole. The colour scheme directly borrows the Air Jordan 6 “Infrared” colour blocking, complete with the icy soles at the bottom!
You can cop this clean Air Jordan Retro this June 2023 on Nike UK.
