The long-awaited Nike Air Max BW “Persian Violet” recently landed for the first time since 2016! One of the most popular Air Max models in history the Air Max BW returns in this beloved colourway. This is what OG Air Max fans have been waiting for!

First introduced in 1991 the Nike Air Max BW followed on from the iconic Nike Air Max 90. Sporting a similar sole unit, the Air Max BW boasted an even larger window on the visible Air unit in the heel. Hence the BW nickname that stands for “Big Window”.

Just like all Air Max silhouettes, the shoe originally graced the sneaker scene as a staple option for runners. But this specific model earned more prominence among R&B singers and rappers, specifically those in the United States of America and the United Kingdom. The most popular colourway? Of course, none other than the “Persian Violet” launch colourway.

Featuring breathable mesh, suede, and leather overlays, the Air Max BW also flaunts a thick heel counter for great support. Black hues dominate the upper of the sneaker and are accompanied by hints of white on the heel and the sole. The nicknamed “Persian Violet” accents adorn the ankle collar, tongue, Swoosh, and midsole stabilizer.

The contoured plush heel counter and ankle collar hug the ankle and the heel comfortably, resulting in a very secure fit. Rubber Swoosh logos on the sides reinforce the overall structure of the shoe.

The decoupled outsole features a revolutionary waffle traction pattern on the forefoot. A cored-out midsection on the outsole provides torsional support and also reduces weight.
