Nike TN Air Max Plus Metal Mesh "Black / Red"

This new colourway takes heavy-duty uppers to a whole new level! The Nike TN Air Max Plus “Black / Red” boasts a flexible metal mesh reinforcement on the upper that resembles chain mail armour.

A staple sneaker then and now; the Nike TN Air Max Plus instantly became popular when it came out in 1998. Air Max as we know it gets another upgrade and fans were in awe every time. Because of the positive reception from the public, Nike Tuned Air silhouettes continued to release in the present day.

The Air Max Plus was a futuristic sneaker at launch, way ahead of the technology back then. The blow-moulded Air units on the Air Max Plus provided more support and extra durability, ensuring you get the same comfort from the first day of wear. Nike also managed to combine lightweight mesh and TPU cage for a lightweight ride.

Taking design cues from beach life in modern cities, the Nike TN Air Max Plus features a breathable mesh base upper. The wavy TPU fingers pay homage to palm trees and ocean waves that first came to mind during a trip to the beach. They’re strategically placed throughout the upper to add structure and support to the upper. This latest rendition brings metal mesh to the body for even more support.

Yellow Nike “TN” logos on the heel add extra detail to the shoe, adding that classic Tuned look. The toe and mudguard add durability to the shoe. The foam midsole houses the two visible Tuned Air Max units decoupled by a TPU arch inspired by a whale’s tail. Finishing it off is the modified waffle traction pattern on the outsole.

Black and White laces feature reflective details to match the TPU panels.

Expect a late November 2021 release of this version.
