Nike Air Max Pre-Day "Black / White"

Updated materials on a beloved colour scheme dons this Nike Air Max Pre-Day “Black / White”. Another highly-anticipated Air Max as 2021 approaches its finale.

The Nike Air Max Pre-Day debuted in 2021 and brought a whole new era for Nike Air Max lifestyle models. Because of its popularity, fans are awaiting more colourways.

Taking design cues from the classic Nike Daybreak, a vintage trainer, the Nike Air Max Pre-Day exudes a premium finish. Nike continues to use sustainable materials on key areas of the shoe. This is part of Nike’s ongoing Move to Zero campaign. The Air Max Pre-Day is comprised of recycled polyester on the vamp and quarter panels; recycled polyurethane on the suede and synthetic overlays; recycled TPU for the Air units; and Nike’s Grind Rubber for the outsole made from scraps collected from Nike’s manufacturing processes.

The Nike Air Max unit returns in the heel, but this time the entire heel is cored-out to highlight the fully exposed unit which allows for more bounce and impact protection. Because of the lack of foam around the heel, a TPU plate makes up the rear to provide stability and support. There are fewer layers between the foot and the Air, making each step more comfortable.

A waffle traction outsole with a hollowed-out area on the midfoot delivers consistent grip on all surfaces.

This new “Black / White” colourway of the Nike Air Max Pre-Day unleashes modern materials such as the mesh and ripstop mesh body. The usual breathable and lightweight mesh makes up the front, while the ripstop mesh reinforces the rear sections.

Suede overlays and a textile eyestay add to the overall durability of the new 2021 model.

Releasing in November 2021, expect this shoe’s launch on the Nike website and other select retailers soon.
