New Balance Numeric and skateboarding legend Andrew Reynolds have teamed up once again, introducing the New Balance Numeric 480 “Chocolate” NM480BOS. This collaboration reimagines a classic – the 480, initially introduced as a basketball shoe in 1983, now transformed into a skateboarding staple. The revamped design is a testament to New Balance’s commitment to blending heritage with innovation, catering to the rigorous demands of modern skateboarding.
The 480 “Chocolate” boasts a visually appealing colour palette, with varying shades of brown cascading across its distinctive upper. The choice of materials speaks to both style and durability, featuring a mix of premium suede, sleek leather, and brushed nubuck, creating a textured yet harmonious look.
Functionality is at the core of this sneaker’s design. It’s equipped with a full-length FuelCell midsole, a cutting-edge New Balance technology known for its propulsion qualities. This feature is crucial for skateboarders who need responsive and resilient footwear for their dynamic movements.
In line with the demands of street skateboarding, the shoe also includes an Ndurance rubber outsole. This component is specifically engineered to enhance grip, a critical factor for maintaining control on the board. Furthermore, the inclusion of a molded Abzorb insole brings an additional layer of comfort, crucial for absorbing impact during high-intensity skate sessions.
