London-based Apron Records continues its collaboration with Nike, delivering another bold take on the Air 180. Following the “Dark Atomic Teal” release, this new “Bloodline” edition taps into Steven Julien’s personal history, blending vintage aesthetics with storytelling details that connect to his journey.
The upper lands in deep Team Red terry cloth, offering a textured, worn-in look that contrasts with smooth leather overlays. A snakeskin-printed
Swoosh adds a subtle pattern shift, while the black scaly leather heel panel brings a refined edge. A rose gold heel counter injects a hint of contrast, elevating the design without overshadowing its classic elements.
Nike keeps the Air 180’s DNA intact, with a retooled tongue inspired by the Air Max 95 and the signature 180-degree Air cushioning unit. Underfoot, the polyurethane midsole and durable rubber outsole ensure comfort and longevity, making this a solid pick for everyday wear.
Storytelling plays a big role in this release. The razorblade lace dubrae references Julien’s hand tattoo and his time as a barber, tying into the branded insoles featuring nostalgic imagery from his aunt’s salon. It’s these personal details that make the Apron Records x Nike Air 180 “Bloodline” stand out.
