Now, New Balance reimagines how the shoe looks if it’s worn and rugged. The New Balance 550 “Grey Day” boasts neutral tones with Blue accents. Scuffs and rugged overlays add more details to the clean colourway. Don’t be confused, this is brand new!

Arguably the most popular New Balance shoe in the past few years, the NB 550 takes on a whole new identity with these modern colourways. This style joins the “pre-distressed” trend with scuffs and stains like it’s a used pair. New Balance is out here redefining the brand’s own style once again.

The 80s was a special year for basketball shoes. We all know this is the decade where the Air Jordan line came to life, as well as the adidas Forum, Nike Dunk, and AF1. However, New Balance has its own hoop shoe entry: presenting the New Balance 550. The shoe was actually called P550 Basketball Oxford before NB opted for a simpler name.

This sneaker’s revival in 2021 helped New Balance gain more fame. We can also thank Teddy Santis’ Aime Leon Dore collabs for the resurgence of this shoe.

The New Balance 550 “Grey Day” features a Grey upper comprised of airy mesh, suede, and nubuck. Scuffs and pre-distressed designs can be seen throughout the upper and the rubber sole.

Midnight Navy accents adorn the N logos on the sides while different shades of Blue make up the tongue and suede collar.

You can get this pair on New Balance UK this May 2023. Definitely a must-cop because of its minimalist look.
