New Balance 574 "Grey / Varsity Gold"

New Balance is one of those brands that always hits the spot with their trainers. They stick to their roots, bringing simple and classic but also iconic sneakers that cater to all. The New Balance 574 does exactly that, with the streamlined look of this icon dating back to the 80s.

Intended as more of a price-friendly shoe, the New Balance 574 goes with a simple and minimalist design but does not compromise the overall quality of the sneaker. The result? An everyday sneaker that stands out.

It features reliable foam midsole technology with a polyurethane rim on the heel to deliver support and stability. This foam is housed inside a soft and lightweight second foam to increase comfort and impact protection. The textile upper looks exactly like mesh, you can barely even tell the difference.

The new version of the New Balance 574 returned in 2018 and has never looked back since. New Balance updated the shoe and incorporated a slightly wider toe box, giving wide-footers better fit.

Back like it never left, this new colourway of the New Balance 574 arrives in a classic combo of Dark Grey and Varsity Gold. Finished with hints of tan leather on the tongue and heel panel. The textile base uses a lighter shade of grey, while the suede overlays are darker. The “N” and “NB” logos on the sides appear in Varsity Gold.

It’s finished off with a gum rubber outsole that highlights a lug traction pattern. Released in April 2021, expect more variants of the NB574 to carry on dropping.
