Luxurious sneakers usually cost a lot, hence the low demand from the sneaker community. New Balance looks to reinvent this with the 9060. It’s unlike any New Balance shoe we’ve seen before. As a matter of fact, this is arguably the most unique pair we’ve seen in recent memory.

The New Balance 9060 is a futuristic lifestyle shoe inspired by the 99x series, combining elements across all models. This resulted in a chunky low-cut shoe with multiple upper layers, stacked midsoles, and a decoupled outsole. The NB 9060 came out in 2022 and quickly saw action thanks to collabs with Joe Freshgoods.

More styles of the shoe came out, including general-release pairs.

Mesh makes up the upper of the shoe, while pigskin suede overlays reinforce the rest of the body. ABZORB and SBS cushioning work hand-in-hand in this double-stacked midsole setup. A decoupled rubber outsole with traction pods completes the unique design.

The New Balance 9060 “Mineral Red” features a Light Red mesh base with Mineral Red suede overlays.  Burgundy-like tones also appear on the forefoot, midfoot, and rear. Metallic Silver accents cover the N logos, the plastic lace loop, heel panel, and tongue logo.

Sail White hues on the midsole give a vintage vibe to the shoe.
