Nike continues the AF1 40th anniversary milestone in 2023 with the first Colour of the Month edition this January. The latest entry? Another clean and fresh colourway that’s sure to catch a lot of attention. This Nike Air Force 1 Low “University Red” debuts the Colour of the Month in the first month of 2023. The celebration continues after Nike pushed for multiple special AF1 releases in the previous year.

In 2022, the Nike Air Force 1 marked its 40th year in the market. This shoe deserves the popularity it garnered over the years; even during its temporary hiatus. Now back and ready for more makeovers, the Colour of the Month gets even better with a vibrant colourway.

Some remember the AF1 as a classic hoop shoe worn by pros and a streetwear footwear legend, both are facts! Released in 1982, the Nike Air Force 1 pioneered the Nike Air technology among basketball shoes. Nike put the shoe back in the vault shortly after in 1984, but thanks to avid AF1 fans, the shoe lived on in 1986.

After making multiple appearances in the NBA until the early 2000s, the AF1 fully became a lifestyle shoe. Can’t deny the comfort of the near full-length Nike Air unit, though! No wonder this is always a classic choice to many people.

The Nike Air Force 1 Low “University Red” features a University Red smooth leather base with White Swooshes and Nike labels.

The sole also comes in White while the rubber outsole appears in Red.

Just like the previous Colour of the Month editions, you can expect an additional toothbrush as a shoe cleaner.
