Nike’s Colour of the Month edition for the Nike Air Force 1 continues after the model’s 40th anniversary in 2022. For this month’s entry, Nike goes back to its roots and gave the Triple White colourway a new makeover. Same shoe, but with a more luxurious style.

The Nike Air Force 1 just turned 40 in 2022, this is a historic feat for a shoe that wasn’t even meant to be a mainstay. Nike launched the AF1 in 1982 as a high-top basketball shoe. This model features the first Nike Air technology on a basketball shoe, which made it comfortable for sports activities.

Later on, the AF1 Low arrived and got rid of the ankle strap. Fans saw the potential of this silhouette and petitioned Nike to bring back the shoe when the brand ceased AF1 production in 1984. By 1986, the Nike AF1 continued to soar, often becoming the subject of pop culture themes.
