Nike Air Force 1 Mid 40th Anniversary "Malachite" DR9513-100

Throwing it back like it’s 1982! We’re now approaching closer to the end of the year, and Nike’s about to conclude the AF1’s 40th-anniversary celebration. Following the OG shape and features of the 1982 classic, the Nike Air Force 1 40th Anniversary collection lands this month! The Nike Air Force 1 Mid 40th Anniversary “Malachite” is the main entry for AF1 Mids, featuring details such as multiple Swoosh logos.

Existing for 40 years is already hard, but remaining popular throughout these decades is an even more remarkable feat. The Nike Air Force 1 celebrates 40 years of innovation, both as a basketball shoe and a lifestyle footwear icon. This 40th Anniversary colourway is a nod to the first version of the shoe, complete with the oval lace dubrae and ankle straps.

Beloved by many, recognised by all. The Nike Air Force 1 spans multiple generations, from serious hoopers to streetwear fashion trends. Introduced in 1982, the Nike Air Force 1 first entered the world as a basketball shoe. Its immense popularity gave it enough recognition beyond the sport, and into street fashion.

The shoe took a backseat in 1984, but fans convinced Nike enough to bring the AF1 back two years later. Now, there are more AF1 colourways than ever to honour the model’s 40th year in the market.

This Nike Air Force 1 Mid 40th Anniversary “Malachite” features a Sail White leather base with multiple Swooshes on the lateral panel. A Malachite Green mini Swoosh appears on the side mudguard, while Black Swooshes cover the sides. An embroidered Swoosh comes subtly on the ankle strap.

Special “40” debossed branding adorns the rear. The golden lace dubrae features a round shape, a nod to its original shape; the rectangular lace dubrae came in 2007 when the brand updated the shoe.
