Another special edition Nike Air Force 1 colourway sets out for a 2022 release. The Nike Air Force 1 Mid QS Jewel “Total Orange Ale Brown” brings back the iconic update on the popular Swoosh logos on the sides. All these pairs arriving just in time as Nike and the sneaker community celebrate the 40th anniversary of the AF1.

Just like the Air Max 1 releases during Air Max Day last March; expect nonstop heat colourways for the AF1 this year. For a shoe to stay relevant and top-rated for the majority of its 40 years is no easy feat. So Nike’s going all out for 2022 with these Nike Air Force 1 launches.

The Nike Air Force 1 originally came out in 1982 as a basketball shoe. With an ambitious goal to provide cushioning that last all game, Bruce Kilgore equipped the AF1 with Nike Air – making it a first for a hoops shoe.

The High was the first version, while the Lows released a year later and the Mids arrived in the 90s. Aside from the Mids, the Jewel Swoosh edition also came out by the mid-90s.

Jewel Swooshes come in the form of a gel-like Swoosh replacing the usual look on most sneakers. Either way, they’re stylish and pretty popular for a lot of sneakerheads.

This Nike Air Force 1 Mid QS Jewel “Total Orange Ale Brown” features a White tumbled leather base with Metallic Brown overlays. This shiny leather overlays make up the toe, heel panel, and the ankle strap where an Orange embroidered mini Swoosh also resides.

The Orange jewel Swoosh accompanies the oval lace dubrae and more Swooshes right on the forefoot.

Inside the tongue, two vertical Swooshes can be seen talking to one another about “something important”. An accompanying dialogue reads: “Inside out or outside in as long as you’re right within”. Seemingly referring to the endless amount of Swoosh logos found on this pair. Nike Air labels also adorn the heel panel.

A Sail White sole finishes the design.

Another addition to the AF1 selections for its 40th year, keep an eye out for its release in April 2022.
