Nothing better than a fresh pair of the iconic Nike Air Huarache! This Nike Air Huarache J22 “Black / Smoke Grey / Marina” combines Black and White with hints of Grey and Blue for a fire makeover. This is basically a Black and White iteration made even better with all those additions. Those Light Blue hues can even be a good representation of the Carolina Panthers NFL team because of the similarities.

Designed by Tinker Hatfield, the Nike Air Huarache took inspiration from water-skis, where sock-like neoprene collars provide the perfect fit. Hatfield then modified the neoprene collar and added rubber reinforcements on the heel to make them suitable for fast-paced sports. The result? One of the most popular trainers of all time. Huaraches literally hugged your foot without being too restrictive and doesn’t reduce mobility.

The Nike Air Huarache came out in 1991 and the rest is history. From running to basketball to lifestyle, the Huarache graced Nike’s back catalogue – giving a glimpse of its groundbreaking feature.

This Nike Air Huarache J22 “Black / Smoke Grey / Marina” arrives in a familiar colour blocking, but with a few tweaks and updates.

Mesh makes up the base, while leather overlays cover the toe and sides. Neoprene makes up the midfoot and the heel where a Grey TPU heel counter serves as support. Aqua Blue accents appear on the Huarache logo on the tongue and sockliner.

The foam midsole gives a soft and bouncy step-in comfort that’s good enough for long-term wear and tear. Below, a waffle sole with multiple flex grooves completes the bottom.

It’s available now on the Nike GB website, definitely a must-cop for Huarache fans.
