Air Max Month 2022 just got even better! Another stunning Nike Air Max BW colourway is upon us! This Nike Air Max BW “Marina / Grey Jade” goes aquatic by flaunting various shades of Teal and Jade for a fresh finish. Definitely another addition to the must-cop list for the year. It’s only the first quarter of 2022 and we’re already getting a lot of heat!

Following the Air Max BW’s 30th anniversary in 2021, Nike reintroduced the early 90s trainer to the new generation by bringing new colourways. After receiving massive attention among the sneaker community, the Nike Air Max BW’s glory continues in 2022. Colour schemes such as this “Marina / Grey Jade” flex the unlimited potential of the shoe when it comes to design. It’s definitely a worthy successor to the iconic AM90.

The Nike Air Max BW came out in 1991 as the follow-up to the momentous Air Max 90. Looking to set itself apart from the previous, Tinker Hatfield enlarged two notable features; the Swoosh, and the heel Air Max unit which led to the namesake “Big Window”.

Mesh makes up the body of the Air Max BW, with overlays and mudguard that vary in material per colourway. The rubber Swoosh and TPU lace loops return for extra durability.

The usual foam plus heel Air Max setup provides reliable cushioning and comfort. A rigid heel counter gives tons of support and stability which prevents heel slips. A wider window exposes the “big window” signature detail.

Below, the decoupled outsole boasts a reliable waffle traction pattern for consistent surface coverage.

This new Nike Air Max BW “Marina / Grey Jade” features a mix of Cyan and Teal accents on the upper. The darker shade covers the mesh and the majority of the forefront; while more vibrant touches of Jade adorn the Swoosh, ankle collar, and tongue.

Hints of White hit the overlays as well as the heel counter and midsole.

A black rubber outsole finishes off this outstanding colourway.
