Nike Air Max BW OG "White Persian Violet" DN4113-101

Just when we thought we’ve seen it all during the Air Max BW’s 30th anniversary in 2021, Nikes brings more heat. This Nike Air Max BW OG “White Persian Violet” uses the reverse card and dresses the upper construction in white; contrasting the dominant black found on the original Nike Air Max BW “Persian Violet”.

Nike saw the insane popularity of the Air Max BW especially in the UK; and now they’re eager to keep the fire shoe on top. The awesome combination of white, black, and the eye-catching violet pigment makes this 90s trainer another must-cop colourway. Already excited for its official launch!

Introduced in 1991, the Nike Air Max BW was a worthy follow-up to the revolutionary Nike Air Max 90. Both designed by none other than Tinker Hatfield, the BW boasted a larger aesthetic; specifically the rubber Swoosh on the sides, and of course, the bigger window encasing the visible Air unit; hence the Big Window namesake.

Mesh makes up the base, while either leather or suede overlays and mudguard reinforce the lightweight trainer. The ankle collar and lining comes padded for more comfort and support. Nike and Air Max labels adorn the heel, tongue, and the sides.

A rigid heel counter stabilises the feet on every movement, while the soft foam midsole comes packed with PU right on the heel for better bounce. The visible Air Max unit on the heel became an iconic feature on the Air Max BW.

This Nike Air Max BW OG “White Persian Violet” features an all-white mesh base with suede reinforcements. The mudguard now comes in black, while the Persian Violet hues return in usual placements found on the OG pair.
