Nike Air Max Plus "Social F.C." DQ3981-001

It’s World Cup season once again and all eyes are on the countries vying for gold. With this, Nike looks to capitalise on the advantage and score a goal with a new football-inspired sneaker collection. The Nike Air Max Plus “Social F.C.” joins the fictional football club as a nod to the World Cup 2022. Rep your supporting country with all these different Social F.C. colourways!

The Social FC collection consists of iconic Air Max models such as the 90, 95, and this Tuned 1. Other styles include the Air Huarache, we can expect some other pairs to surface soon. Would be awesome if we could see Nike-sponsored teams in the World Cup to rock these trainers!

Considered to be a pioneer of modern Air Max shoes, the Nike Air Max Plus debuted a brand new kind of Air. In 1998, Nike introduced Tuned Air technology. What makes Tuned Air bubbles different from regular Air Max is the rubber reinforcement. Rubber hemispheres cover the air bubble, providing more support and stability without compromising comfort and bounce.

The beauty of nature became the primary inspiration for the design of the Air Max Plus. Wavy TPU fingers on the mesh upper resemble trees in city beaches blown by the wind. A whale’s tail resembles the midfoot plastic shank.

This Nike Air Max Plus “Social F.C.” features a Grey mesh base with subtle camouflage graphics. Black and Blue comprise the rest of the panels on this one.

Golden football-inspired logos appear on the tongue and sockliner to distinguish Social FC colourways.
