Nike Air Max Plus (Tuned 1) "Multicolour 3D Swoosh" DV6821-100

This Nike Air Max Plus colourway will make you do a double take! Joining other Nike icons such as the Dunk Low, Air Max 95, Air Max 90, and Huarache comes this new Tuned 1 rendition. The Nike Air Max Plus (Tuned 1) “Multicolour 3D Swoosh” features colourful Swooshes underneath the mini Swoosh for an anaglyph effect.

The shoe’s so nice, it would make you look twice. Nike’s 50th anniversary is already in full display this early in the year. Part of the celebration is the upcoming 3D Swoosh Pack, featuring some of Nike’s best-selling kicks. This Tuned 1 colourway joins the roster to cap off a historic journey.

Introduced in 1998, the Nike Air Max Plus is the pinnacle of Nike Air in the late 90s. Designed by Sean McDowell, the Air Max Plus (also commonly known as Nike Tuned 1), took design inspiration from palm trees during a beach trip. Wavy TPU panels on the upper resemble the wavy leaves; these exoskeleton layers keep the structure of the shoe intact as the breathable mesh base brings a lightweight ride.

A plastic toe cap and leather mudguard surround the bottom panels for increased support and durability.

The rigid shank plate on the midfoot resembles a whale’s tail and provides torsional support.

Tuned Air units on the heel and forefoot give the same bouncy feeling that we get from regular Air Max units; but this time with even more support as Tuned Air Max units have rubber hemispheres on the outside.

This Nike Air Max Plus (Tuned 1) “Multicolour 3D Swoosh” features a clean White mesh base upper; with gradient fade hints of Midnight Navy on the rear TPU panels. Colourful Swooshes ranging from Blue, Volt, and Orange create an anaglyph effect behind the White mini Swoosh.

More Volt details adorn the tongue, visible air bags, and certain sections on the outsole.

Expect these to release alongside the rest of the 3D Swoosh Pack while Nike prepares for the 50th anniversary celebration.
