The third colourway of the updated Nike Air Trainer 1 finally lands in April. The Nike Air Trainer 1 SP “Light Smoke Grey Honeydew” goes for that neutral tone approach highlighted with vibrant accents. All three colourways have been hits so far! The Nike Air Trainer 1 will surely make a name for itself in the modern era just like how it was back in the 80s.

The SP edition of the Nike Air Trainer 1 tweaks the majority of the shoe while keeping the same aesthetic. If you couldn’t identify the changes, the details include: mesh netting panels on the sides; a thick pull tab on the tongue, a push buckle replacing the midfoot strap, additional Swooshes on the rear; and multiple reflective overlays covering most panels from heel to toe.

This “Light Smoke Grey Honeydew” colourway prepares for Spring 2022 with a plethora of colours. Expect a lot of attention on these the same way the first two renditions sold out.

Introduced in 1987 as an all-around cross-sports trainer, the Nike Air Trainer 1 became a primary choice for many – even non-athletes. Designer Tinker Hatfield incorporated a thick and padded collar for an improved fit, a midfoot strap for a secure ride, and a raised lateral outrigger for stability. These design features proved effective as they are stylish.

The Nike Air Trainer 1 SP “Light Smoke Grey Honeydew” features an overwhelming mix of Grey, Brown, Beige, Sail, Lime Green, and Volt on the upper. Even the upper comprises mesh, leather, and 3M reflective materials for an uber-supportive feeling. Hints of Blue adorn the Nike labels on the tongue pull tab, heel, and interior of the tongue. Trail shoe vibes all around on this one!
