Making its debut in 2018, the Nike Air VaporMax Plus combines two advanced Air Max trainers in one. The Nike TN Air Max Plus, or more commonly known as Tuned 1, came out in 1998 as the brand enter a whole new era. In the same way, the Nike Air VaporMax’s arrival in 2017 signified a new kind of Air cushioning – something much more innovative. Together they combine into the Nike Air VaporMax Plus.
Featuring a mesh upper with wavy TPU panels, the Air VaporMax Plus uses the Tuned 1’s body with the VaporMax’s Air sole unit.
Air Max 95 references appear on the rear where a mini Swoosh brings brand identity. TN logos emblazon the heel panel.
Maximum support is still present in the form of a rigid raised sidewall; similar to the Air Max Plus’ whale tail.
The Air sole comes with rubber nods to protect the air bag and provide consistent traction.
