Originally introduced in 1973, the Nike Blazer is one of Nike’s earliest basketball trainers alongside the Nike Bruin. Featuring a leather base and a nylon tongue on the upper, the Blazers also came with a vulcanised sole. The shoe arrived in two styles, the Mid and the Low. Because of the padded interior and ankle collar on the mids, the Nike Blazer became another popular footwear choice for skateboarders.

Throughout the years, the Nike Blazer adopted new versions; and this Blazer Mid ’77 Jumbo is the most recent yet of all. It features overlapping layers of leather with a sock-like panel on the heel. The word “jumbo” comes in the form of an enlarged Swoosh covering the sides and overlapping on the midsole.
