Nike Dunk High Retro Athletic Club "Pro Green" DJ6152-300

This Dunk High colourway pays tribute to the brand’s sports origins with the Athletic Club Pack. Opposite shades of Green dominate the fuzzy suede upper for that premium finish. The Nike Dunk High Retro Athletic Club “Pro Green” joins other Nike silhouettes in this vintage-inspired theme. We hoped this was a Nike SB Dunk High for that extra comfort provided by the Zoom unit, but this is still nice!

We can all agree that the Nike Dunk is now Nike’s most popular shoe in the past few years. Love it or hate it, the Dunk will remain with us for many years to come; with new styles and unique themes to keep the hype going.

Those who aren’t aware of the Nike Dunk history will be surprised about its 80s origin. Released in 1985, the Nike Dunk is one of Nike’s basketball selections along with the Air Jordan 1. Both pairs were among the late and great Peter Moore’s masterpieces from the Swoosh.

The Nike Dunk features a leather upper, nylon tongue, and a rubber cupsole. This sounds basic for some, but most basketball shoes in the mid-80s usually had the same tech specs.

In 2002, Nike introduced the Nike SB Dunk, equipped with a padded tongue, Zoom Air in the heel, and a modified traction pattern.

This Nike Dunk High Retro Athletic Club “Pro Green” flaunts a Washed Teal suede base with Pro Green suede overlays. White leather Swooshes reinforce the shoe and let the iconic logo stand out.

Nike Athletic Club labels appear on the tongue and sockliner. A debossed “DUNK” lettering adorns the rear section of the lateral side as a subtle detail.
