Nike celebrates the annual Day of the Dead event with another sneaker pack consisting of Nike footwear icons. The traditional celebration in honour of the departed brings a brighter tomorrow as people reconnect once more. Joining the colourful theme of this year’s “Somos Familia” pack is the Nike Dunk High. This Nike Dunk High PRM “Somos Familia” stands out with alternating patterns headlined with unique motifs on the upper.

The Day of the Dead, or Dia De Los Muertos, is an important tradition usually in Mexico. With Nike’s inclusivity and various heritage, the new Somos Familia pack emphasises the essence of unity in the family. This Dunk High PRM combines dusk and dawn hues with cultural patterns.

Nike Dunks are still at the top of every sneaker list thanks to multiple releases (and restocks) of both Dunk High and Lows. Long before this shoe was the most coveted lifestyle sneaker around, the Nike Dunk first graced basketball courts. Released in 1982, the Nike Dunk is part of the brand’s Be True To Your School campaign in the NCAA.

The Nike Dunk High PRM “Somos Familia” features thematic motifs and designs all over the shoe. What appears to be a canvas upper base comes reinforced with Orange leather overlays. Brown and Black alternating hues make up the base, headlined by cultural themes and patterns.

Special Somos Familia logos adorn the rear section of the shoe, while the gum rubber outsole finishes off the design.
