The Nike Mind 001 Flyknit “Hyper Royal” continues Nike’s exploration of comfort-focused footwear with a design that feels unlike anything else in the brand’s current lineup. Built through concepts developed by Nike’s Mind Science Department, this futuristic slip-on combines innovative cushioning, sensory-focused technology, and a striking new Flyknit construction.

One of the biggest updates comes through the introduction of Flyknit material across the upper. Previously seen on the Nike Mind 002 Flyknit, the lightweight woven construction now makes its way to the Mind 001. The result is a more textured appearance, improved durability, and enhanced breathability. A central Flyknit panel runs down the middle of the upper, creating a visual effect that echoes a traditional tongue despite the laceless design.

The “Hyper Royal” colourway ensures the silhouette doesn’t go unnoticed. Deep black tones blend into vibrant blue shades across the upper, creating a gradient effect that adds movement and depth. Underfoot, bright green outsole nodes provide an energetic contrast while reinforcing the shoe’s experimental identity.

Comfort remains the defining feature. Inside the sole, 22 movable nodes respond to pressure as you walk. Nike states that this system was developed to engage sensory areas of the brain, helping create a stronger connection between movement and awareness. Soft foam cushioning works alongside the node structure to deliver a plush underfoot experience throughout the day.

A stretch fabric footbed allows the nodes to move freely while maintaining comfort against the foot. Combined with the Flyknit upper, the result is a lightweight and accommodating fit that feels different from traditional slides or recovery footwear.
