Ladies can skate too! The female-led skateboarding brand Doyenne Skateboards teams up with Nike for a special SB collab. Based in Glasgow, Scotland, this brand founded in 2017 will be making its mark on the big stage with this release. The Nike SB Blazer Low x Doyenne lands in a clean mix of neutral tones with special marble-like tones on the outsole.
When you hear Nike SB, chances are people only pay attention to the SB Dunks. But the SB Blazer is also worth taking note of. Just check out this awesome collab with Doyenne Skateboards! Despite being a women-run brand, the shoe will be arriving in extended sizes too.
The regular Nike Blazer has a long history in sports, specifically as a basketball shoe in the early 70s. But the Nike SB Blazer looks to carve a path of its own. The SB Blazer first came out in 2006, four years since the brand launched the iconic Nike SB label. This shoe followed up on the Nike SB Dunk which debuted in 2002.
Just like the Dunks, SB Blazers feature updated uppers to withstand damage and provide long-lasting durability on the vulcanised sole. Most pairs utilise canvas materials – a norm found in most skateboard shoes. The shoe also boasts a thicker sockliner for added cushioning.
This Nike SB Blazer Low x Doyenne “Coconut Milk & Rattan” features neutral tones on the canvas upper. Doyenne labels adorn the rear section of the lateral panels, while the TPU mudguard covers the high-wear zones.
Multicolour pigments appear on the heel pull tab and herringbone outsole.
You can cop this pair this March 2023 on the Nike UK website.
