Nike’s latest signature skate shoe is back for more heat colourways! The Nike SB Ishod Wair “Black / Dark Grey / White” opts for a clean and simple colour scheme found on most skate shoes. All that and capped off by a grippy and reliable gum sole for better skate sessions.
First introduced in early January 2022, the Nike SB Ishod Wair is a well-deserved reward for Ishod Wair’s hard work. The 2013 Thrasher Skater of the Year officially joined the Swoosh in 2016 where he rocked Personal Exclusive Nike SB Dunks. A few years later, we’re now witnessing Ishod Wair getting his own signature skate shoe.
Despite specialised as a skate shoe, the Nike SB Ishod Wair boasts heavy basketball design elements; specifically iconic basketball shoes from the 90s as Ishod’s first love was basketball before venturing into skateboarding. Suede makes up the majority of the upper, while the sides feature breathable mesh reinforced with moulded rubber overlays for breathability and added durability.
The most recognisable design feature is the Swoosh. Two Swooshes can be found on the upper, a mini Swoosh on the toe and a reversed form on the rear. The reverse Swoosh took inspiration from the Nike Air Darwin (Yes, reverse Swooshes were a thing long before Travis Scott).
Ishod labels adorn the tongue and heel panels.
The rubber cupsole houses a thick full-length React foam drop-in midsole for maximum cushioning and comfort. A data-mapped traction pattern completes the outsole.
This Nike SB Ishod Wair “Black / Dark Grey / White” arrives in an all-black suede upper with touches of white on the Swooshes. Dark Grey occupies the rubber mudguard for extra details.
The gum sole finishes off this clean and classic colourway.
