Nike TN Air Max Plus "Persian Violet"

After the introduction of Nike’s Tuned Air Max in 1998 it was only a matter of time before the release of the Nike TN Air Max Plus. Sneakerheads who were curious about this revolutionary cushioning system were impressed with the versatility and comfort it offered. Numerous eye catching releases dropped at the time, allowing it to stand out from the crowd.

Still going strong in the year 2021, the TN Air Max Plus pays homage to the legendary Persian colour scheme. Those that are familiar with the Nike Air Max BW will be no stranger to this classic colourway. It may interest you to know that 2021 also marks the Air Max BW’s 30th anniversary.

Just like its compatriot this offering stays true to OG Persian Violet build-up, featuring a white mesh base upper. The adorning cages fade from black to blue, giving them a unique effect.

Taking inspiration from beach life in modern cities, the Nike TN Air Max Plus is created with a white airy mesh body. The wavy TPU fingers are symbolic of palm trees and the ocean waves which are strategically placed throughout the upper to add structure and support.

The Swoosh appears in black, outlined with a Persian Violet accent. It acts as the border that separates the black decorative cage from blue cage.

Durability is not compromised with the addition of a black leather mudguard whilst the foam midsole is finished in black/white and houses the visible heel. The Tuned Air Max unit and is uncoupled by a black TPU arch for torsional support, taking inspiration from the tail of a whale. To finish the heel Nike have added the waffle traction outsole, decorated with hints of Persian Violet and yellow. The Air Max unit on the medial side is finished in yellow.
