Off-White x Nike Air Terra Forma "Summit White" DQ1615-100

This generation is lucky enough to see Virgil Abloh’s highly coveted collabs with Nike and Jordan Brand. Now, after a year since his sudden passing, Off-White and Nike officially unveil his first-ever sneaker design with the Swoosh. This Off-White x Nike Air Terra Forma “Summit White” lands this December 2022 as the debut colourway of this outdoor-inspired shoe. Got a bit of ACG vibes with the overall aesthetic and colourway right here!

Virgil Abloh’s posthumous works continue to appear in Off-White showcases set in different locations. This Nike Air Terra Forma is Virgil’s own design in collaboration with his Off-White label and Nike. Its design is something that only someone like Virgil Abloh could pull off, of course, with his signature zip-ties and sophisticated details.

The Nike Air Terra Forma is the first Nike sneaker designed by Virgil Abloh. No other design inspiration from other Nike shoes can be found on this pair. Although its bulky design may look similar to other ACG boot-like silhouettes, this shoe is unlike any other.

Subtle Swooshes comprised of stitching, oversized rubber tongues with Off-White logos, and a spiky bulky sole comprised of the rubber spikes make up the shoe. There’s a lot going on in this shoe. The visible Nike Air unit on the heel provides extra cushioning where you need it.

This Off-White x Nike Air Terra Forma “Summit White” is one of the two debut colourways of the new silhouette. It’s kind of similar to the Off-White Air Force 1 High released in early 2022, but even more bizarre.

This is definitely an acquired taste, especially since this is a new model. Virgil Abloh sneaker collectors can cop a pair this December 2022 in select retailers including Off-White.
