UNDFTD x Nike Dunk Low SP Dunk

Nike’s trending sneaker over the past few years just got even more hype! The Nike Dunk Low has seen a huge rise in popularity worldwide. This time Nike has teamed up with Los Angeles-based sneaker store and apparel brand Undefeated (UNDFTD) for a special collaboration. Their creation is the UNDFTD x Nike Dunk Low SP which involves the Nike Dunk and the Nike Air Force 1 Low.

Introduced in 1985, the Nike Dunk was Nike’s premier basketball shoe for college players at that time. The Nike “Be True To Your School” campaign brought a ton of Nike Dunk colourways sporting different hues. They featured the school colours of Nike-sponsored colleges at that time. Popular teams such as Michigan, Michigan State, UNLV, and Kentucky created attractive colour blockings.

The shoe is made with a leather upper. Just like the Air Jordan 1 that was released a few months before the Nike Dunk launched. There are overlays on the forefoot, eyestays, and also the heel. Large Swooshes adorn the sides of the shoe.

Additionally, Nike labels can be found on the tongue and the heel.

A PU midsole provides minimal cushioning. Unlike the Air Jordan 1 the Nike Dunk previously had no Air unit in the heel. But with it becoming the skater-centric shoe that it is, Nike fixed the lack of cushioning and it now features a Zoom Air unit in the heel. Don’t let this put you off regular Nike Dunks though, they are definitely still worth rocking.

Introduced in 2021 under the Nike “Special Project” label, Nike and UNDEFEATED teamed up for the “5 On It” collection.  This “Black” edition is the third Nike Dunk Low to appear in the pack. The entire Nike x UNDEFEATED “Dunk Vs. AF-1” collection was inspired by classic colour schemes of the two models in previous decades.

The shoe features an all black upper that’s comprised of suede and has multiple perforations on the body. A fur-like Swoosh on the sides adds luxury to this coveted collab.

UNDEFEATED’s five strikes logos are placed on the rear side as a signature detail. Underneath is an icy sole that blends well with the black finish.

Released in September 2021 the UNDEFEATED x Nike Dunk Low SP “Black” was exclusively available on the Nike SNKRS Pass on the SNKRS app.
